We have asked all of the Yellowknife mayoral and council candidates to complete a questionnaire focusing on development, public space, and active transportation. It's so great to see so many dedicated people stand up to ask to lead our community, but the field is pretty full, so we wanted to help voters make their selections.
We're not going to come out in support of any particular candidate, we don't want to tell you how to vote. As we told the candidates, this is not a quiz, it’s only about informed, engaged voters. Check out the link below to view the questions and responses displayed in a spreadsheet (because we are not tech-savy enough to make it look nicer).
We know that campaigning is hugely time consuming and stressful, so we want to thank all the candidates who were able to make time to provide us with their responses. And check back later because any late entries will be added as they come in!
Thanks everyone, and go out and vote! Municipal government is the level that has the greatest effect on our day to day lives, and it's also the level where you as an individual can have the greatest impact!
